Let’s Go Get Buzzed!

What are you doing to generate a buzz for your band, brand or business? Are you Facebooking and Twittering? Do you have a blog? Are you networking both online and offline? I always advise the same thing… you need to have a game plan. You need it in writing. Doing this will carry you over from point A to point B. Think about you goals. Think about where you’d like to be. Who is your audience? Who are your customers? Go to where they’re at.

I recently started spending considerable more time on Twitter and I’m getting great results because of it. It’s so easy to say, “I just don’t have the time.” Stop the excuses! Just make the time. Period. Carve out 10-15 minutes in the morning and then 10-15 in the afternoon. That’s all you need to stay on top of Twitter and start generating a buzz. Multi-task it. And it’s okay if you’re one of the 39 Percent Of Smartphone Owners Use Their Devices In The¬†Bathroom. Hey whatever works, right? LOL. If you’re like me, you use Hootsuite on both your computer and smartphone to manage it. It is without a doubt, the best tool out there. What’s really cool is the ability to schedule posts and even incorporate Facebook (plus LinkedIn, Foursquare, Ping.fm, Myspace, WordPress and mixi.) into the mix. My other strategy is staying on top of my fave people/companies via Twitter Lists. They can be public or private. You decide. Boy was that the smartest thing Twitter developed!

Use technology to help you gain a following. Use it to get a buzz. There is so much out there and most of it is free. Go get buzzed. Then comment here and tell me all about it.
