#TwitterSmarter Podcast: Listener Question from Rorie Kelly – Using Twitter To Help Crowdfunding Campaign [Episode 5]

This week’s question comes in from musician Rorie Kelly. She’s currently running a crowdfunding campaign for her new album. (Congrats Rorie!) She wants to know how can she use Twitter to help her campaign without sounding like a spammy, self-promotional jerk. She wants to make it easy for her Twitter friends to help.

In this episode, here’s what I cover:

  • I review @RorieKelly‘s Twitter profile and her tweets.
  • Make a private Twitter list of everyone who’s contributed to your crowdfunding campaign.
  • Do individual and group tweets thanking your contributors.
  • Your contributors are your super fans.
  • Send your super fans/contributors pre-written tweets to make it easy for them to help.
  • Use Bit.ly to shorten and track the pre-written tweet links.
  • Use Click to Tweet to create a pre-written tweet.
  • Use Advanced Twitter Search
  • Your Call-To-Action: Create a list of your Super Fans and use the Twitter Advanced Search
